Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how Emergency Toolkit handles information when you use the app, including local emergency tools, account sign-in, cloud backup, maps, weather, and advertising.

Last updated: May 14, 2026

Overview

Emergency Toolkit helps users prepare for unexpected situations with emergency checklists, safety guides, medical details, maps, weather information, and signaling tools. The app is a preparedness and reference tool. It does not replace emergency services, professional medical care, official alerts, or guidance from local authorities.

Information you provide

You may choose to enter information such as your email address, display name, preparedness checklist data, emergency contacts, medical notes, medications, allergies, documents, and other emergency details. You control what information you add to the app. Account sign-in information is required only if you choose to use account or cloud backup features.

Local storage

Emergency information may be stored locally on your device so it can be available when needed. You can update or delete information from within the app where supported.

Account and cloud backup

If you sign in and use cloud backup or restore features, Emergency Toolkit may store your account profile, user ID, email address, and selected emergency backup data in Firebase/Firestore so the data can be synced or restored. Cloud backup is optional and is used only to provide the requested app functionality.

Location, maps, and weather

If you enable location, map, or weather features, the app may use location information to show nearby essentials, routes, weather, or other emergency planning information. Location access can be controlled in your device settings. Map and weather providers may process data needed to provide their services.

Advertising and third-party services

Emergency Toolkit may use third-party services such as Firebase for authentication and cloud backup, Google AdMob for advertising, Apple StoreKit for purchases, and map or weather providers for app features. These services may process information such as IP address, device or advertising identifiers, app interaction data, diagnostics, purchase status, and data needed to operate requested features.

How information is used

Information is used to operate the app, provide account and backup features, show maps or weather, process purchases, display ads, improve reliability, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

Data sharing

We do not sell personal information. Information may be shared with service providers that help operate the app, when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or when needed to provide services you request.

Your choices

You can use many features in guest mode, choose what information to add, delete information where supported, sign out of your account, control device permissions such as location access, and contact us about privacy questions or data deletion requests.

Children

Emergency Toolkit is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can help remove it where applicable.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Keep your device and account credentials protected.
